HEARST'S BOSTON AMERICAN, April 23, 1906 Hearst newspapers were famous for their huge & dramatic headlines. This item does not disappoint.
I'm not sure we've seen a larger or bolder headline than this: "SAN FRANCISCO SUFFERERS GO MAD ! " with a subhead: "Crazed By Horrors They Roam The Streets" and more.
Note: this is the front leaf only, cut close at the spine barely touching the huge headline, with a tip from the spine causing loss to several words. A few other margin chips not into text, various small margin tears. Fragile & must be handled carefully.
