Note: Brandon Lee, the 28-year-old son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, tragically died on March 31, 1993, during the filming of the movie The Crow in Wilmington, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a scene where his character, Eric Draven, is shot upon entering a room. Actor Michael Massee, portraying the character Funboy, fired a revolver that was intended to be a prop. Unbeknownst to the crew, the firearm contained a bullet lodged in the barrel from a previous mishap involving improperly made dummy rounds. When the blank was fired, it propelled the lodged bullet, striking Lee in the abdomen. He was rushed to New Hanover Regional Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries after six hours of surgery.
