The top of the front page has a one column heading: "5 MISSISSIPPIANS ARRESTED BY F.B.I. ON RIGHTS CHARGE" with subhead and photo of local sheriff Lawrence A. Rainey. (see images) This was a notable civil rights-related murder and was the premise for the 1988 crime thriller film "Mississippi Burning" starring Gene Hackman and William Defoe.
Other news of the day. Complete with 124 pages, light toning at the margins, generally in nice condition.
