THE PENNSYLVANIA EVENING POST, Philadelphia, March 23, 1775 Page 2 includes a report headed "Boston" noting: "We are informed that through the prudent & spirited behaviour of the minute men in & near Petersham, a little inveterate knot of conspirators against the constitution of their country has been entirely broke up--they were made prisoners in a house they had fortified..." with more.
This is followed by a very historic report headed "Providence" concerning the Providence Tea Party. It begins: "On Thursday last, about twelve o'clock at noon, the Town Cryer gave the following nonie through the town. 'At five o'clock this afternoon a quantity of India tea will be burnt in the market place--All true friends of their country, lovers of freedom, and haters of the shackles and handcuffs, are hereby invited to testify their good disposition by bringing in, and casting into the fire, a needless herb, which for a long time hath been highly detrimental to our liberty, interest, and health..." what follows is a nice description of the event.
Four pages, a small indent to a margin not close to any text, very nice, clean condition.
