The front page has a nice headline announcing: "FIGHTING BEGINS" with: "Hitler States Terms" and text. More on pages 2 & 3.
This marks the beginning of World War II in Europe, the United States not entering the war until the attack upon Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.
Incomplete issue containing 8 of the 40 pages, tabloid size, some margin wear, mainly along the spine with a few inside page archival mends, still a nice issue for display as such.
