Page 39 has the complete text of an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving Proclamation given by President Lyndon B. Johnson (see images for text). The front page tells of the death of Elizabeth Arden and of the tragic 23rd Street Fire, which claimed the lives of 12 firemen. Until September 11, 2001, it was the heaviest loss of life in the NY City Fire Department’s history. Photos and considerable coverage are included.
The issue is believed to be complete in multiple sections, but is being offered for the described content. Good condition (see images).
