Here is the magazine section from the September 5th, 1937 issue of the New York Times. Pages 8 & 9 has a great editorial on Robert H. Goddard and his recent experiments with early rocketry.
There is a four column headline that reads: "FIERY ROCKETS SOAR, FORERUNNERS OF SWIFT SHIPS OF SPACE" with subhead. Also five related photos and two illustrations (see). A nice period item on the 'father of rockets'.
