Talk about politically incorrect coverage according to current standards, page 16 has: "PARADE IS STALKED BY 5-STORY INDIAN," with subhead: "Eyes of Giant Tribesman Lear at Broadway Windows With Helium Savagery." Additional subheads include: "DONALD DUCK IS ALOOF" and "Gazes Skyward All The Way - Thousands Brave the Rain to Watch Annual March."
Also included within the article are mentions of other floats including Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower, and a huge Thanksgiving Turkey. The corresponding photo of Uncle Sam with the caption: "MACY'S INFLATED COMICS MARCH DOWN BROADWAY."
Other news of the day and holiday-themed advertisements are found throughout.
The issue is in very good condition. While it is believed to be complete in 40 pages, it is being sold for the Macy's Day Parade coverage. Rag (library) edition.
