This is a nice example of this early news service photo poster published 3 times a week, taken up almost entirely with one or more photos of the most notable event of the day. Done in broadside form (printed on front side only) these were meant to be hung up for display, typically used in schools to provide photos of the most current events. Thumb tack or staples holes are commonly found in the corners.
This issue is one of the more notable issues concerning the escape of noted gangster John Dillinger. Among the 4 photos are an inset of him, as well as the hotel where he was hiding & from which he escaped with the aid of machine guns.
Printed on high-quality coated paper, minor margin wear, nice condition.
