wikipedia notes: Sherwood was blacklisted during the McCarthy era. Active in the civil rights movement, she worked with Martin Luther King Jr. in the late 1950s and 1960s and went south to join the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). In 1963, she was arrested while participating in a Freedom Walk in Gadsden, Alabama, jailed, and sentenced to six months hard labor, for "Endangering the Customs and Mores of the People of Alabama".
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.
It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
Complete in 16 pages, tabloid-size, one crease across the center, very nice condition.
