SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE, California, April 22, 1906 An early newspaper from after the famous earthquake of 1906, with a two line banner headline: "FORCE OF THE FIRE IS AT LAST SPENT - BANKS ABLE TO MEET THE EMERGENCY" with some of the subheads including: "Wine Used to Fight Flames" "Plenty of Money In The Vaults" "No Danger Of New Earthquake" and more. The ftpg. also has 2 photos, including an iconic: "View Of the City Hall Ruins." (see).
Pages 2, 3 and 6 have banner headlines as well: "To Open Employment Bureau For Whole State" and "Water Supply For The City Assured" and "Food For Homeless Thousands" all of which include many subheads and other photos as well.
Complete in 6 pages, minor loss to the bottom margin, slightly irregular at the spine, nice condition.
