OAKLAND TRIBUNE, California, April 27, 1906

* Bellevue, Texas, destroyed by tornado
* San Francisco earthquake reports continue

From this city just across the bay from San Francisco it is not surprising that front page content relates to the aftermath of the very recent earthquake, including: "More Soldiers Sent To San Francisco" "Many Depressions in Streets of The City" "Many Wholesale Merchants Plan to Locate in Oakland" and more (see).

But the big front page headlines actually report the tornado which hit Bellevue, Texas, with a very large, bold banner headline: "TOWN SWEPT AWAY BY GREAT TORNADO!" "Ruins Destroyed By Fire" with some front page text as well (see).

This is the 2nd section of this newspaper, containing pages 11 - 20, although it has its own masthead and looks very much like a front page (see).

Some edge tears, generally in very nice condition.
