This 16 page newspaper has a three line, two column headline on the front page: "Death of Sheik of Screen Received as Great Shock By Moving-Picture World" with subheads that include: "Flood Of Tributes Comes For Valentino As Man And Artist" and more. More on page 3 including a nice two column photo of him. Other news of the day throughout. usual browning and some margin wear, otherwise in good condition.
 
Background Information: On August 15, 1926, Valentino collapsed at the Hotel Ambassador in New York City. He was hospitalized at the Polyclinic in New York and underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer. The surgery went well and he seemed to be recovering when peritonitis set in and spread throughout his body. He died eight days later, at the age of 31.  source: wikipedia
