THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, March 11, 1766  The back page has a report noting: "...from New York there is advice, that every thing remained quiet there in relation to the Stamp Act, no blockage of shipping having taken place; the people in general have entertained great hopes that the return of the next packet would bring them some agreeable news from England."
Indeed, the Stamp Act would be repealed on March 18.

THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, September, 1766  One of the better items is a letter: "...from the Principal Merchants in London trading to the Colonies, to John Hancock, Esq., and the rest of the Merchants in Boston, on the Repeal of the Stamp Act" which has some great reading. This letter takes a full page.

LONDON CHRONICLE, 1765  We will select an issue from this historic year of the Stamp Act.
This was one of the more popular & successful newspapers of the day, publishing through the Revolutionary War and well into the 19th century. Eight pages, nice condition, measuring about 8 by 11 inches.

THE EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, 1765 A rather uncommon title from before the Revolutionary War and a nice opportunity for a British newspaper from during the year of the Stamp Act in the colonies. Contents include various news of the day with a wealth of ads as well.  Complete in 8 pages & measuring about 8 1/2  by 11 inches, never trimmed at the margin, some light rubbing at the folds, generally nice condition.  THE LONDON MAGAZINE, London, November, 1766 The front page of this issue features a decorative engraving of the 18th century London skyline. Among the 40+ pages are various news reports of the day including an item on  North America Trade and  the Stamp Act & more. (see photos). Great reading. Nice condition, bit close-trimmed at the right margin, & measures about 5 by 8 inches.

THE ST. JAMES CHRONICLE; OR, THE BRITISH EVENING POST, London, England, 1767  Nice engraving in the masthead makes this a displayable issue. Various news of the day and a wealth of ads, from not long before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War.
Note that the photo is "generic" and the issue you get will not be of this specific date but will be from 1767.

THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, January, 1765  A nice issue of this very famous & successful British magazine from this significant year of the Stamp Act, and some ten years before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. Included is "General Gage's Account of the Reduction of the Indians" which takes over half a page.

Over a column is taken up with the verbatim cross-examination of Governor Penn of Pennsylvania, which carries over to take one-third of page 2. A few questions & answers include: "...Q.
