"FREE PRESS MAGIC" was a special section of the Detroit Free Press newspaper, Aug. 28, 1927
* Rare Harry Houdini periodical
* Mathematical problem by Sam Loyd ****
The masthead notes: "Founded By Houdini" Interestingly the inside pages are taken up with two comics, one in color. However the front and back pages have various puzzles, games or magic items that are in black ink.
The back page has a mathematical problem titled: "DODGING SUBMARINES" by Sam Loyd.
It is notable that Harry Houdini died in Detroit the prior year.
Four pages, measures 11 1/2 by 15 1/2 inches, a little archival mending at the bottom left corner of page 2, nice condition.
