THE STARS AND STRIPES, London Edition, April 21, 1945  This famous 4 page military newspaper has various World War II reports with much on the closing days of the European War and the end of Nazi Germany.

However the key item in this issue is a three column heading on page 2 that reads: "Lifebelts Make Foxhole a Real Comfortable Bed" which is a correspondence by famous WWII American Journalist Ernie Pyle. Includes a small photo of Pyle as well.

Complete issue with 8 pages, light toning at the margins, nice condition.
