background: On May 24, 1980, the New York Islanders won their first Stanley Cup, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 6 of the Finals at Nassau Coliseum. The game became one of the most iconic in NHL history when Bob Nystrom scored the championship-winning goal at 7:11 of overtime, finishing a perfect pass from John Tonelli to seal a 5–4 victory.
