Complete in 22 pages, tiny binding holes at the spine, very nice condition.

AI notes: Luna 2, launched by the Soviet Union on September 12, 1959, was the first human-made object to reach the Moon, marking a historic milestone in the Space Race. After a two-day journey covering roughly 385,000 kilometers, the spacecraft impacted the lunar surface on September 14, 1959, near the Mare Imbrium. Designed to study cosmic rays, micrometeoroid impacts, and the solar wind, Luna 2 also tested deep-space guidance and communication systems. The spacecraft carried small instruments and four spherical pennants engraved with the Soviet emblem, which were released upon impact. Its successful mission not only demonstrated the Soviet Union’s advanced space capabilities but also represented the first direct contact of human technology with another celestial body, paving the way for future lunar exploration.
