A rare same-day issue on the prelude to the stock market "crash" of 1987. The October 20th issue reports the actual crash which I assume some people saved at the time. This issue has reporting suggesting the stock market was starting to plunge but were optimistic that this would pass the following day. And we know that wasn't the case. The top of the front page has a one column heading: "The Plunge in Stocks Has Experts Guessing About Market Course" with lead-in: "What Next?" and subheads. (see images)
