SPRINGFIELD DAILY REPUBLICAN, Massachusetts, Sept. 12, 1862 With the front page filled with ads the war reports are inside.
Page 2 has the: "Thanksgiving Proclamation of Jeff. .Davis" signed in type: Jefferson Davis. The back page has: "What the Rebels Intend to Do - Proclamation By Gen. Lee" which he addresses to the people of Maryland, signed in type: R. E. Lee, General Commanding.
Also on the back page: "Gen. Mc Dowell to the President" "Indian Disurbancds in Utah" "A Battle at Washington, N. Carolina" "From Fortress Monroe" "The War In Maryland" and more.
