CONNECTICUT MIRROR, Hartford, March 20, 1815 Page 2 has: "By the President of the U. States of America A PROCLAMATION" setting aside a day: "...to be observed by the people of the United States with religous solemnity, as a day of thanksgiving & of devout acknowledgements to Almighty God for his great goodness, manifested in restoring to them the blessing of peace...", signed in type: James Madison.
Page 3 has: "Latest From New Orleans" from after the Battle of New Orleans.
Four pages, very nice condition.
