FEDERAL GAZETTE AND DAILY ADVERTISER, Boston, Jan. 4, 1798  Certainly one of the less common 18th century American newspapers, as it was short-lived, lasting just 55 issues from Jan. 1 thru March 5, 1798. This is the number 4 issue.
All of pages 2 & 4 are taken up with reports from: "Congress of the United States" including a lengthy address of the Senate to Adams' recent state-of-the-union address, followed by his reply signed in type: John Adams. Same with a report from the House, replied to by the President, signed: John Adams.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, small archival mend to the inside spine, good condition.
