April 04, 1917

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, April 4, 1917

* World War I - WWI
* America very close to entering
* Great headline for display

The front page has a few headlines that include: "AUSTRIA INTENDS TO BREAK WITH UNITED STATES" "Senate Vote On War Expected Tonight" with subheads. (see images) Nice for display. The U.S. would officially enter the war on April 6, just 2 days later.
Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 14 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
