Washington's state-of-the-union address... Orsiginal bindings with wrappers...



Item # 711770 THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, January, 1792  Included under: "American Intelligence" is: "The President's Address to both Houses of the Federal legislature..." which is the full text of Washington's annual state-of-the-union address to Congress, signed at its conclusion: G. Washington, dated Oct. 25, 1791.
Also included is the lengthy article: "Wanderer's Account of John Wesley in America" which focuses on his time in Savannah, Georgia.
Included is one of the three plates called for.
As an added bonus this issue is as sold on the streets, with original string bindings (broken now), with the 4 original blue outer wrappers, never-trimmed margins. Measures 5 3/4 by 9 inches, in great condition. The leaves are mostly loose but held in place by the outer wrappers which are in uncommonly great condition.
Complete in 96 pages, 5 by 8 inches, full title/contents page featuring an engraving of St., John's Gate, light stain to an upper corner of the title page, very nice condition.
