The top of the front page has a four column headline: "FBI's Force in Miss. Bolstered by Johnson" with subheads. (see images) This was a notable civil rights-related murder. Their bodies would be found on August 4 & 21 when white men--most members of the Ku Klux Klan including a local sheriff & his deputy--would be arrested.
