The top of page B17 has a banner heading: "Layne Staley, 34, Lead Singer of Grunge Group Alice in Chains" with photo. (see images) Staley's dead body wasn't discovered for a estimated two weeks post mortem. His official date of death is April 5th. This was the day fellow grunge rocker Curt Cobain died eight years earlier.
Great to have this report in a newspaper from the home of the entertainment industry.
