Note: Patty had been convicted of bank robbery and other illegal activities sympathetic to her abductors (the Symbionese Liberation Army). The above coverage tells of her being released after having her sentence commuted as "time served" by then-President Jimmy Carter. President Bill Clinton eventually gave her a full pardon in 2001.
