SUPPLEMENT TO THE BOSTON GAZETTE, Oct. 28, 1782  This is a single sheet issue. The front page begins with reports from Paris noting in part: "Mr. Franklin, Minister Plenipotentiary of the United States...dined on Saturday...with the Count de Aranda, Ambassador of Spain, together with Mr. Jay...The reception which the Count...gave Messrs. Franklin and Jay... strongly indicates that Spain will soon acknowledge the independence of America."
Almost the entire middle column is taken up with: By the UNITED STATES, on Congress Assembled. PROCLAMATION" setting aside Thursday, November 28: "...as a day of solemn Thanksgiving to GOD for all his mercies...inn success of the arms of the United States & those of their allies---and the acknowledgment of their Independence by another European power...", signed in type by the President of Congress: John Hanson.
The back page is entirely taken up with advertisements.
