CONNECTICUT COURANT, Hartford, Nov. 5, 1806   Page 2 begins with a notable report on the arrival of Lewis and Clark in St. Louis, after their 2-1/2 year expedition.
It begins: "It is, with the sincerest pleasure, that we announce to our fellow citizens, the arrival of CAPTAIN LEWIS, with his exploring party, at St. Lewis [sic]. The President has received a letter from him dated at St. Lewis, September 23, at which place himself, Captain Clarke and their party arrived that day..."
with much more on their exploration.
The front page has a detailed notice concerning the sale of land in Northern Pennsylvania and South New York.
Four pages, nice condition.
