Disney's "Hall of Presidents" - an inspiration for 1976...

Item # 701790

March 16, 1976

THE NEW YORK TIMES, March 16, 1976

* The Hall of Presidents
* Walt Disney World
* "The Idea of a President"

Page 26 has a nice article supported by two photos featuring Disney's "Hall of Presidents" attraction found at Disney World. It was one three contributions Walt Disney made to the 1964 New York World's Fair (It's a Small World and Carousel of Progress being the other two), and upon the fair's completion, was moved to its permanent home in The Magic Kingdom Park located within Disney World. The focus of the article is on the attraction's emphasis on honoring the idea of the American Presidency - downplaying politics or even the "success" of those who have or who are serving. It is hard to experience the presentation and not walk away with a greater respect for the office.
Other news of the day, sports, and advertising is found throughout.

Complete in 64 pages, never bound, a strong mid-fold with heavy toning and a bit of rubbing along the fold, some wrinkling (no loss) of the article due to the mid-fold, an address label in the masthead, but otherwise good. See images for details.
