With Kirby Smith's surrender all organized resistance in the Civil War has now come to an end.
Eight pages, great condition.

Note: The Kirby Smith Surrender on May 26, 1865, marked one of the final Confederate capitulations in the American Civil War. General Edmund Kirby Smith, commanding the Trans-Mississippi Department, surrendered his forces to Union General Edward Canby after continued resistance became untenable following the earlier surrenders of Lee and Johnston. Isolated west of the Mississippi River, Smith had attempted to sustain Confederate control, but widespread desertions and the collapse of the Confederacy made further efforts futile. His surrender effectively ended organized Confederate military resistance, paving the way for the conclusion of the war and the beginning of Reconstruction.
