This is the volume 1, number 1 issue and the only issue we've located in our 48 years. It is not listed in Gregory's "Union List of Newspapers".
The top of page 2 notes: "The Owl will be published every Saturday...It is devoted to bright and sparkling literature, to fashionable society, to music, art and drama...".
Four pages, various wear at the margins, many mends at margins and folds, minor loss at the spine, some perforation at folds, foxing.
