NEW YORK HERALD, Sept. 12, 1862  The front page has one column heads on the Civil War including: "The War In Maryland" "Union Forces In Possession of Sugar Loaf Mountain" "Manifesto of General Lee to the People of Maryland" which has the lengthy text signed by him in type: R. E. Lee; "The Rebels in Possession of Hagerstown" "Entire Rebel Army En Route for the Cumberland Valley" "Vigorous Preparations for the Defence of Pennsylvania" "Important From Kentucky" "Rebels Within Two Miles of the Union Lines" and more.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
