THE LIBERATOR, Boston, March 4, 1864

* Rare anti-slavery title
* For freedom of slaves
* American Civil War era

This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by William Lloyd Garrison, which features a very decorative and slave-themed masthead which shows a scene of slaves being auctioned, and a scene of slaves being liberated.
Articles within include: "Speech of Wm. Lloyd Garrison" at the reception for Mr. George Thompson, the famed anti-slavery orator. The top of page 3 has a nice item on: "Crispus Attucks, The Colored American Patriotic Leader and Martyr, March 5, 1770". Attucks, an African-American, was one of the five men killed at the Boston Massacre.
Page 3 also has: "Reception of Mr. Thompson in New York at the Cooper Institute" with several other articles on Thompson.
Four pages, some archival mends at the margins, nice condition.
