THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, April 3, 1759  The front page has news reports headed: "America" which includes an item from Boston that: "...the General Assembly... voted the sum of 250 pounds sterling for the erecting a monument in Westminster Abbey in memory of the Right Hon. George, Lord Viscount Howe, who unfortunately lost his life in defence of his King and country in the late attack at Ticonderoga."
Also: "...General Amherst has ordered a fort to be erected at Penobscot...and that this province is to raise a number of soldiers in order to guard the workmen that shall be employed in that service...".
Eight pages, 8 by 10 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
