NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., Aug. 11, 1814 The front page has various reports on the War of 1812 including: "Creek Indians" "Extract of a Letter dated Chillicothe" "Extra of a Letter dated Buffalo" " and other items, as well as: "A Proclamation" signed by the President: James Madison, in which he offers a full pardon for those who deserted the Army.
Inside has more on the War of 1812 including: "Capture of the Privateer Yankee Lass" and "Defence of Maryland" among other items. And page 2 has a lengthy report on Napoleon Buonaparte with subheads including: "Napoleon Bonaparte is a Coward" "Napoleon is a Tyrant" "Napoleon is a Murderer" and: "Napoleon is a Perfidious Corsican".
Four pages, two archival mends near margins, scattered foxing, good condition.
