An exceedingly rare title as no issues earlier than 1898 are recorded in any American institution, and only those after 1897 are held by a single institution, the Colorado Historical Society. Gregory's Union List of American Newspapers is even unsure when this weekly newspaper began, but this issue is volume 4 number 191 so mid-1881 would seem logical.
Four pages with various news and ads of the day including much concerning mining. Quite irregular at the spine with the upper half of the spine having paper loss affecting notices on page 3. Partially archivally rejoined at the spine, various small tears at other margins.
