The front page of this issue has the banner headline: "SIFT 'FLYING DISK' REPORTS", with subhead: "Puzzle Grows; Facts Hidden, VFW Hints - Asserts People Are Told 'Too Little'", followed by a near-column of text which is continued on an inside page which also includes a related photo and another article. Although for obvious reason Roswell is not mentioned, it is a bit intriguing to have this coverage in a major city newspaper on the day the Roswell incident allegedly occurred. Such UFO "hysteria" was already being reported throughout the country (and very likely the world).
