COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, Sept. 18, 1790 The entire front page and a bit of page 2 are taken up with an Act of Congress, to provide for the collection of duties on arrival ships, etc. It is signed in script type on page 2 by the President: George Washington, and in block type by the Secretary of State: Thomas Jefferson. Also on page 2 is a lengthy "Speech" by the Massachusetts governor signed in type: John Hancock.
Four pages, a few small archival mends at margin, nice condition.
