The front page has a headline: "Ships of Three Nations Join Earhart Search Near Mid-Pacific Isle" with subheads: "Flares Reported Sighted By Coast Guards May Have Been Lightning" "Hope is Maintained" "Cryptic Radio Message Indicates Fliers Are Imperiled".
Included as well is a photo headed: "Before Ill-Fated Pacific Hop" and the caption beginning: "Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, are shown as they rested beside their plane at Batavia, Dutch East Indies...".
The article continues on page 14 where there is also a photo of Amelia's mother. They disappeared on July 2 and would never be found.
Twenty-two pages, light toning and a little wear at the margins, generally good.
