THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, England, Jan. 4, 1845  The front page has an illustration captioned: "BURNING OF THE BOWERY THEATRE, NEW YORK", which is followed by a description of the fire which destroyed this famous theater in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Text includes, "This celebrated theater... has just been burnt for the fourth time!". with more.
Additional content includes: The Royal Thames Yacht Club Match", "Shrewsbury Races" (horse racing), "H.M.S. 'Erebus' and 'Terror'", "Gravesend and Rochester Railway", and more - all of which include illustrations and supporting text. The back page has "Great Match At Chess..." and "Treaty with France for the Suppression of the Slave-Trade".
