September 16, 1908
OMAHA EVENING BEE, Nebraska, Sept. 16, 1908 The front page features a great cartoon on the new era of flying machines, showing a horse, which was upstaged by the car, and a car, not being upstaged by an airplane.
Page 2 has column heads including; "WAR BEGUN ON AIRSHIPS" "Army Must Combat New Craft" "Aeronaut on Swift Moving Machine Difficult to Hit with the Present Devices of Service" "German Airship Collapses - While on Way to Potsdam High Wind Causes Trouble" and then: "Wilbur Wright Takes Record" "Eclipses All Marks Made by Aeronauts of Europe" being a report from Lemans, France.
Ten pages, some tears at the margins, loose at the spine, otherwise good. Somewhat fragile & should be handled carefully.
