 DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, Jan. 15, 1862  A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The ftpg. is taken up with ads plus news reports from Europe including: "The Mason-Slidell Affair" and the "Funeral of Prince Albert".
Page 2 has a lengthy editorial which discusses several topics including how the winter has slowed the Yankee forces, and also: "The Condition of the Federal Treasury". Also on pg. 2: "The Latest Northern News--Movements & Spirit of the War--Important From Cairo--Forward Movement--Nashville the Destination--Washington City Unhealthy--A Strange Story--A Female Spy on Horseback--Drunkenness in the Federal Army" and more.
Other articles include: "The Department of Missouri" "The Evacuation of Romney" "Wilmington Threatened--The Burnside Expedition" "The Steamer 'Pensacola' "Petersburg Senatorial Election" and other smaller items.
Over half of the back page is taken up with the printing of many Acts of the Confederate Congress.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, minor margin wear, very nice condition.
