Also among the front page column heads are those related to the Civil War: "News From the Southwest" "Location & Condition of Johnston's Rebel Army" "Organization of Secret Union Societies in Mississippi" "The Rebels Strengthening the Defences of Mobile" and "News From the South" with war content on the inside pages as well.
