July 27, 1914
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, July 27, 1914
* World War I close (eve)
* Austria - Germany & more
* "War to end all wars"
The front page has a banner headline in red lettering: "GREAT POWERS ARE STRIVING TO BRING PEACE IN EUROPE" with subheads. (see) Nice for display. The war would officially begin the very next day. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 12 pages, small library stamps within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
