NEW YORK WEEKLY DAY-BOOK CAUCASIAN, Dec. 23, 1865 A decidedly racist newspaper which began well before the Civil War & lasted a few years after. As such their reporting on events of the day provide a contrasting perspective beyond most other Northern newspapers.
Among the articles: "Reminiscences of Gen. 'Stonewall' Jackson" being installment #7. Also: "Message of President Johnson" "Shall White People Work to Support Negroes, or Shall Negroees Work to Support White People?" "The Negro and His 'Friends' " and more.
Eight pages, bit of light damp staining, nice condition.
