May 29, 1844
PROVIDENCE DAILY JOURNAL, Rhode Island, May 29, 1844 Page 2 has an interesting article on the development of the telegraph by Samuel Morse, with a small heading: "The Electro Magnetic Telegraph". It begins: "Morse's Electro Magnetic Telegraph now connects between the Capitol at Washington and the Railroad Depot in Pratt..." with more on this. This was one of the earliest transmissions by telegraph, as May 24 was the first transmission with the famous words 'What hath God wrought."
Four pages, good condition.
