NATIONAL ANTI-SLAVERY STANDARD, New York, July 20, 1843 As the title would suggest, an anti-slavery newspaper from 18 years before the Civil War.
The entire front page is taken up with a lengthy article: "Position & Duties of the North With Regard to Slavery". Inside includes: "Colored Infant School" "A Dialogue Between Pompey, a Colored Lad, and Charles, A Slaveholding Boy" "Repeal & Abolition" plus various repairs under the heading; "Anti-Slavery Items. Much more as well.
Four pages, minor binding slits at the blank spine, good condition. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
