Descriptive article on a trip to Colorado... Mining in the Far West...

NEW YORK WEEKLY TRIBUNE, Aug. 8, 1866 The conclusion of the Civil War brought with it an interest in expending west, so it would not seem unusual that articles that read like a 19th century travelogue would appear in newspapers of the day.
This issue has one on page 3, which was part of a larger series: "A Trip To Colorado--Farming In Colorado" with a dateline from Golden City, Colorado. The report takes over a full column and is very detailed on what was seen & experienced during the excursion.
The front page has a report: "Indian Affairs" and page 3 has: "Minerals & Mines of the Far West".
Eight pages, rubbing at the front page causes a small hole, but not close to mentioned content. Otherwise nice condition.
