November 29, 1902

THE WOMAN'S TRIBUNE, Washington, D.C., Nov. 29, 1902 Over half a front page column is taken up with: "A Splendid Life For a Great Purpose" which begins: "Elizabeth Cady Stanton, at the ripe old age of four score years and seven, after a life of extraordinary activity and of unfaltering devotion to the main purpose, passes out into the darkness that is called death..." with much on her life.
Stanton was an American suffragist, social activist, abolitionist, and leading figure of the early women's rights movement.
Terrific to have this report in this suffragist newspaper.
